There's a down-aspect.  Since we now have an exterior transformer, the power usage is improved a little.  In the current local climate where everyone is urging us to get more energy successful, this could seem to be a backwards stage.  On the other hand, the additional power is roughly such as leaving a 100W gentle burning for perhaps 2-3 minute
